The documentary The Great Loss
Since January 2008 I have been working on a documentary The Great loss
The Great Loss deals with several scandals, which combined with environmental threats can contribute to the extermination of dolphins worldwide. Heroes of the environmental movement are interviewed and villains exposed. In conclusion, the following question is posed, Who can we hold responsible for this heinous crime?
In the film I Mikael meet several experts and organizations dealing with environmental issues. Interviews with these experts help him to gauge the state of the world'soceans with particular attention to dolphins and their future outlook. If the state of affairs is allowed to progress, it appears that all the dolphins in our oceans today are fated to completely die out.
It appears that dolphins have some remarkable abilities. Impressions about their perceptiveness,
consciousness and communication skills that have been gauged, lead one to conclude that they are
extremely intelligent beings, albeit different from humans. The problem today is that all public
global resources today are used either to slaughter dolphins, or to send them to dolphinariums
where they are forced to perform as circus artistes.
